A Strong Practical Nursing Program in Berea, OH
If you live in the Berea, OH area and you’re interested in pursuing a career in the medical industry, it’s time you considered Athena Career Academy. Located in Cleveland, OH, Athena trains dedicated nursing students, providing them with the knowledge they will require to get rewarding, lucrative jobs, jobs that pay, on average, about $25 an hour and provide them with a means of giving back to their community and helping others with sometimes life-threatening issues. Our nursing training program at Athena Career Academy takes only one year for the average student to complete. Though we offer a wide range of programs, our practical nursing program is perhaps our finest. Practical nurses play a key role in the treatment of patients, working in hospitals, long term care/rehab facilities, outpatient care centers and even at patient’s homes to monitor the patients’ condition, provide them with medications and other treatments to aid their recovery and oversee their healing process in conjunction with doctors and RNs. Practical nurses save lives every day, and if you’d like to be among them it’s as easy as following the registration process below:
Step 1: Complete a fast and easy online application and wait a short while for it to be read and processed.
Step 2: Once your application has been approved you’ll need to attend a meeting with an admissions representative. They will provide you with all of the information you’ll need to continue the process.
Step 3: At this point, you’ll need to take the TEAS V test, which will test you on your knowledge of english, math, science and reading comprehension. You will need to get a minimum score of basic and an overall total score of 41.3% to qualify. If you do not attain this score you will not be admitted to Athena. However, the test can be taken again at another time.
Step 4: Once you pass your TEAS V you’ll attend another meeting, this time with a financial aid administrator to go over your payment plan and the total costs of your education.
Step 5: Submit your $25 registration fee (which will increase to $120 in January 2015) and sign a disclosure agreement.
Step 6: You’ll need to provide us with a few basic items: your high school/GED transcript, a copy of your government ID and social security card and, if applicable, proof of citizenship.
Step 7: You’ll need to complete a physical and pass a drug test, as well as providing us with immunization records.
Step 8: You will also be required to submit to a background check and fingerprinting.
Step 9: Once all other steps have been completed and you’ve been found to have every qualification, you’ll sign an enrollment agreement signifying your commitment to our program and the payment you’ll be required to forfeit.
Step 10: Attend orientation.
It really is that simple. So if you live in the Berea, OH area and you want to get started on a remarkable new career, contact Athena Career Academy today.

I am in The Early Childhood Education program at Athena and this is my third quarter and words cannot explain how much I love attending this place. It is one of the best colleges I have attended thus far I would recommend anyone.
I would recommend anyone. I mean I love my instructors that I have had so far they are nice and caring and really do care about their students succeeding. I am going to miss them when I graduate.
The education I received from Athena has shown me there are so many areas of nursing I can go into. I have gained the knowledge to better provide for my family and I am so proud to say that I will be a safe and effective nurse!

I owe Athena Career Academy and its staff a warm thank you for giving me an opportunity and providing the tools I need to become a nurse. They provided an atmosphere filled with diversity within both the classroom and the clinical experience. I have learned so much about people and about life! Ambassador for Class 1301
After being out of school for over two decades, deciding to go into the phlebotomy program at Athena was very scary. But once I met with my instructors and got to know the students, it was honestly one of the best decisions I have made about my education in a long time. The teachers here care and want to see you succeed, and with the smalls classes, you can’t help but do that….so thanks Athena!
