1. Will you accept another school’s entrance exam?
No, all entrance exams must be taken at Athena Career Academy.

2. How many times can I take your entrance exam?
If you fail any part of the exam, you can retake it at no extra charge at least one week after the original test date. If you fail again, we encourage you to take at least three weeks to study the content. You will be charged for retakes beyond the second attempt.

3. Will my credits transfer from your school to another school?
It is up to the receiving institution to determine if credits are transferable.

4. I owe money to another school. Will you accept a copy of my transcripts?
No. It is required by the state that we accept official transcripts only. To qualify as “official”, the transcripts must arrive to our school in a sealed envelope with your school’s stamp.

5. I already have my immunizations. Will you accept a copy?
Yes.

6. How recent do my immunizations have to be?
TB, Physical, and Drug Screen must be within one year. All other immunizations must be up to date as needed. You may visit your primary care physician for your drug screen, physical, and immunizations or visit: Northwest Ohio Urgent Care, 1155 E. Alexis Road, Toledo, OH 43612 (419) 726-6500.

7. Can I get my background check in another state other than Ohio?
No. It must be administered in Ohio.

8. Where do I get my FBI and BCI&I background checks at?

9. Are you accredited?
Yes. Athena Career Academy is approved by the US Department of Education and is fully accredited by NCA-CASI. The school is registered with the Ohio Board of Colleges and Schools and operates under the authority of the Ohio Board of Nursing and Ohio Department of Health.

10. Does Athena offer Financial Aid?
Yes. Athena Career Academy is proud to announce Title IV Financial Aid is available for our day and evening Practical Nursing classes, for those that qualify.
